See Puglia from another perspective, From the open sea, with the wind blowing through your hair, a blue sky and the sun warming your skin.
Departure is from the pier of the tourist harbour of Otranto and you are immediately enraptured by the impressive Bastion of the Pelasgiwhich protects the old centre of the city. At sea, your attention will be captured by the impressive Torre del Serpe, which looms in solitude on a panoramic headland. With the Mediterranean breeze caressing your face and the clear sky typical of Puglia, we will continue to sail looking for endless treasures: your camera will not stop in front of the white Lighthouse of Punta Palascìa, called Capo d’Otranto, the easternmost point of Italy which closes the beautiful Baia delle Orte.
Continuing our experience in the boat, we now sight the sharp cliffs of Punte Galere – swords of rock that surface from the crystal-clear sea. We then reach Porto Badisco and your heart will definitely beat faster at the sight of the grey rocks which contrast with the green wild asparagus, the bright blue of the flowers of wild chicory and the white of the wild carrots.
Continuing, we will come to various enchanting sea grottos: Romanelli, Palombara, delle Striare, Azzurra and many others. Our boat trip ends in Castro where we are met by the famous grotto of Zinzulusa with its “zinzuli” which stand out against the sea like rags.
