Bande di Cavriana is a beautiful area between Lake Garda (only 10 km away), Solferino and Castellaro Lagusello. We are in the province of Mantua, in an area recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site for its prehistoric pile dwellings.
This area has been known since antiquity as a land of fine wines: in his writing, Virgil often mentions “Andes”, today Bande, for its delicious wines, appreciated even by the divine emperor of Rome.
In this historical land, a wine-making tradition has been handed down from one generation to the next, as in the Bertagna family, who for have four generations cultivated their vines and made wine with love and passion. The result of all this love is confirmed by the recognized quality of the wines they make: fine red, white, rosé, sparkling and sweet wines.
In the 13 hectares of sun-kissed vineyards, you will find many fine qualities of grape: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Corvina, Garganega, Cortese, Trebbiano, Turbiana (Lugana). The winery is very attentive to its land and products and selects its vines with a low environmental impact to obtain limited yields of grapes per plant, improving the quality of wines which are already excellent.
The visit to the winery and tasting their wines, accompanied by typical products from Mantua, will confirm all the love and passion they put into growing, making and ageing their products.
